🔐 QuickPin & Trusted Devices

This page manages your fast login system. QuickPin is your personal code, Trusted Devices are the browsers where that code works with full access. Together they replace the email verification flow on your personal devices.

🧠 How QuickPin & SafeDevice work together

The platform has no passwords. Normally, every login requires an email verification code. QuickPin & SafeDevice eliminate that step on your personal devices.

🔑
QuickPin — a code you create yourself. Instead of waiting for an email code, you type your QuickPin and you're in. It only works on a Trusted Device.
💻
Trusted Device (SafeDevice) — a specific browser on a specific device that you mark as trusted. The platform stores a secure cookie that links that browser to your account. The device becomes your key.
🔓 Access Levels
🟢 Email code (any device) — Verified User. Full access: read, edit, purchases, settings, everything. Highest access level.
🔵 QuickPin on Trusted Device — Read & Edit. Full read and edit access. Sensitive actions (purchases, account settings) trigger an email verification popup — you upgrade automatically to Verified User without logging out.
🟡 QuickPin on untrusted device — Read Only. Safe mode — you can view all your data but change nothing. This exists so you're never locked out, even when you can't access your email.
🔴 3 wrong QuickPin attempts — Locked. QuickPin and SafeDevice are automatically disabled on that browser. Cookie is invalidated. You must log in with email code and set up QuickPin & SafeDevice again from scratch.
📍 What you see on this page
🔑
Quick PIN Management — Top Section

Shows whether your QuickPin is active or not. The status line reads "Το Quick PIN είναι ενεργό" when active. ➡️ On the right, the orange ⚠️ Authorization Verified Required badge means that to create, change, or delete your QuickPin you need to be a Verified User (logged in via email code). If you're logged in via QuickPin, clicking this will trigger an email verification popup first.

💻
Trusted Devices — Middle Section

Controls for managing your trusted browsers. Same orange ⚠️ Authorization Verified Required badge — adding or removing trusted devices requires Verified User status. The subtitle reads: "Διαχείριση αξιόπιστων συσκευών για γρήγορη είσοδο."

📋
Λίστα Trusted Devices — Bottom Section

A list of all your currently registered Trusted Devices. Each entry shows:
💻 Device name — the name you gave it (e.g. "Android", "WS - 01", "Acer Home station").
🌐 IP address — the network IP when the device was last used.
🕐 Τελ. σύνδεση — the last login date and time from that device.

➡️ On the right of each entry, two buttons: 🗑️ Red trash icon — delete this Trusted Device. The cookie is invalidated and QuickPin will no longer grant Read & Edit access from that browser. ⬇️ Expand arrow — shows more details about the device.

🚀 How to set up (once per device)
1
Log in with email code — enter your email, receive the one-time code, enter it. You're now a Verified User on this device.
2
Create your QuickPin — click the QuickPin Management section. Choose a code you'll remember but others can't guess. This becomes your fast login code.
3
Add this browser as Trusted Device — click the Trusted Devices section. A secure cookie is stored that links this specific browser to your account. From now on, the login screen shows your username and asks only for your QuickPin — no email needed.
⚡ Login comparison
Without QuickPin & SafeDevice: enter email → wait for code → check inbox → enter code → in
With QuickPin & SafeDevice: enter QuickPin → in
👨‍👧 Dependent Accounts (Children)

Dependent accounts (children under parental control) do not have their own email. They log in only with QuickPin on a SafeDevice — there is no other way in. The parent sets up the SafeDevice together with the child. That specific browser on that specific device becomes the child's only access point. The child cannot add new SafeDevices, cannot change the QuickPin, and cannot log in from any other browser. If the SafeDevice cookie is deleted or the PIN fails 3 times, the parent must set it up again.

⚠️
Security: 🔴 3 wrong QuickPin attempts = automatic lockout. Both QuickPin and SafeDevice are disabled on that browser. The cookie is invalidated. To recover, log in with email code and set up everything from scratch.
🔴 If you clear your browser cookies, the SafeDevice is removed and you'll need to set it up again.
🔴 Never use SafeDevice on public or shared computers. Only on your personal devices.
✅ Do
✅ Use SafeDevice on your personal laptop and phone
✅ Choose a QuickPin you can remember but others can't guess
✅ Remove SafeDevices you no longer use
✅ Set up your child's SafeDevice together
❌ Don't
❌ Use SafeDevice on public or shared computers
❌ Use SafeDevice on work computers others can access
❌ Share your QuickPin with anyone
❌ Use obvious PINs like 1234 or 0000
💡
Tip: Lost a device? Come here from any other device, log in with your email code, and click the 🗑️ red trash icon next to the lost device's entry. The SafeDevice is removed instantly — no one can use your QuickPin on that device anymore. For more details, read the full QuickPin & SafeDevice guide.
